Senior Director, Brockton Hospital Revenue Cycle

Generally requires ten years prior experience in healthcare patient financial services ( must have several years in patient accounting) with five to seven years at management level.
Working knowledge in the areas of patient registration, billing, accounts receivable and cash management requirements, health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements, business office operations, and financial reporting.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems that affect claim the submission process.
In depth knowledge of hospital and physician billing and reimbursement.
Clear effective communication skills.
Knowledge of healthcare industry financial statistical indicators.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively provide support and financial analysis to all levels of the organization.
Must be comfortable in making public presentations to large audiences.
Bachelors degree required.
Ultimately accountable for cash receipts, accounts receivable and ensuring the number of days in accounts receivable remains at or below industry standard.
Directs, plans, budgets and controls all aspects of the Patient Financial Services, Cash Applications, Revenue Integrity, and Customer Service.
Generally requires ten years prior experience in health care patient financial services (must have several years in patient accounting) with five to seven years at a management level.
Must have thorough understanding of the integration of patient accounting, claims adjudication, and denials management.
Strong and effective communication and negotiation skills required.
Knowledge of managed care desired.
